Protest the fur industry & animal cruelty in front of Neiman Carcass – Galleria (across from Dillard’s) with other Houston activists.  Show up & be a voice for the voiceless, be present for those who are not, and Be Visible for those who are hidden & abused out of sight!!!
Posters & literature will be provided.  Of course, you are more than welcome to bring your own poster.

Fur Free Friday! Protest the selling of fur in Houston!

It’s time to get into the fur-free spirit! November 23 (the day after Thanksgiving) is Fur-Free Friday—the day on which animal advocates all around the globe will educate holiday shoppers about the cruel fur and leather industries. Every year, the fur industry heartlessly kills 50 million animals—many of whom are skinned alive. The leather industry is no friend to animals either—the global leather industry slaughters more than a billion animals annually.

Last year, there were more than 250 registered Fur-Free Friday events around the globe! Join Houston Animal Rights Team (HART) and PETA in front of Neiman Marcus (one of Houston’s few fur retailers) on Post Oak Blvd on Friday, November 23rd (12pm-2:30pm) to hold signs, pass out educational leaflets, and inform shoppers about the cruel nature of the fur industry. Signs and leaflets will be provided. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own sign AND Friends!
